Hello and Welcome!

A resident of Charlotte, NC but a native of Prince George's County, Maryland, Monique is the Executive Director of A Fresh Start Clt. Inc., whose mission is to provide addiction and holistic counseling for human trafficking survivors and their children. It is Monique's passion and desire to empower survivors to break the cycle of abuse and addiction and gain freedom by helping survivors and their children to grow, heal, and thrive together. Through her years of working with survivors, she has been able to spread awareness and shine a light on the issue of human trafficking.

Monique is a member of Nikao Church, located in Charlotte, NC, led by Senior Pastor Brian & Pastor Tamika Duley.

Monique, an ordained Minister, has served faithfully for over 25 years in ministry. Monique has taught many how to impact the world and live recklessly abandoned to Christ through mentoring, prophetic intercession, deliverance, and practical training. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 42:6 "I the Lord have called you, for I have given you to my people as the personal confirmation of my covenant with them. You shall also be a light to guide the nations unto me." This scripture reminds her never to forget who called her and who she is to reflect in all areas of her life. 

In 2020 the vision for In the Midst of Ministries came when the Lord began to reveal His purpose for Monique's life. In March of 2015, her mom passed away, and the Lord placed her first book on her heart, which turned into a series of 3 books called Hearing the Voice of God in the midst of Grief, Chaos, and Seasons. He showed her that many of His children needed someone to walk in the midst of all they are going through to help them reach the destination He has for them. 

Through much prayer and seeking the Lord, she heard clearly In the Midst of Ministries. Isaiah 43:2-3 "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
